A Prophetic Word; It's happening, Peace

While reading some of the days news I came across a comment that leaped off the page. A more prophetic word could not be uttered by anyone at this time than this statement:

"There is not a military solution to that conflict," White House spokesman Jay Carney said.

The back drop: The conflict of what to do re: Syria

The preceding paragraph:

“The international community appeared to be considering a response that would punish Assad for deploying deadly gases, not sweeping actions aimed at ousting Assad or strengthening rebel forces. The focus of the internal debate underscores the scant international appetite for a large-scale deployment of forces in Syria and the limited number of other options that could significantly change the trajectory of the conflict.

"There is not a military solution to that conflict," White House spokesman Jay Carney said.”

Truly, there is not a military solution to this or any other ongoing or upcoming conflict. For the solution has to do with changing men’s hearts rather than overpowering the evil through our own might.

As the drumbeat for war escalates daily - my peace is assured as I lift my eyes, to the hills. For where shall my help come from? My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. The Lord who is the maker and redeemer of my soul. My help comes from Him. Not the military might of my country or any other.

 And my daily prayer
is for the people of this ol’ world
to open their eyes and
realize, ‘it’s happening’.

Just as there was an ‘In the beginning God’, there shall be an ‘end time’ scenario as well. The culmination of God’s plan as revealed in His Word.
The events are there to be traced as it plays out yearly, monthly, daily via the headlines around the world. It has been happening; IT IS happening, before our eyes. No one need be caught off guard. But many will be because they reject God and refuse to search out truth. Choosing to trust themselves; choosing to put confidence in man above God; choosing to deny the God they know in their hearts exists. The world as we know it shall cease to be one day.

“Lift up your eyes to the heavens, And look on the earth beneath. For the heavens will vanish away like a smoke, The earth will grow old like a garment, And those who dwell in it will die in like manner; BUT MY SALVATION WILL BE FOREVER, And My righteousness will not be abolished.” Isaiah 51:6

Before that time occurs there shall be wars and rumours of wars; nation shall rise against nation, there will be famine and pestilence, they will be the beginning of sorrows. Things do get worse before they get better. Read Matthew 24:3-14

The day of the Lord IS coming. He is not slack in His promises we can be assured. But, He is rather - longsuffering in His love and desire for all to come to repentance rather than face the judgment deserved and reserved for unbelief and sin.

For 6,000+ years He has patiently waited for the final outcome as recorded in the last chapter of the Bible, in Revelation, (Chapters 21-22) that brings us full circle to God and His creation, TOGETHER in perfect love, peace and harmony as it had begun in the Garden.  Before … sin was introduced through unbelief.

 Back to today.

Though things look bleak in the world, we can have peace which comes from a source outside the world. “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid. “

“Let not your heart be troubled, you believe in God, believe also in Me…I go to prepare a place for you…I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:1, 27

Though the drums may beat ominously, lift up your eyes to the Hills for the peace which is not the world’s peace to give.

Grace and Peace
