New Rhythm. Family. Labels. Trust.

Rhythm of life. Lost. Unable to find it. So just need to establish a new one.

Begin somewhere. Need to just finish the book. Mark. Chapter 10.

As He was accustomed, 1:1b…HE taught

Vs. 15 …whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it…

Child like faith, oh what a precious sight to behold and experience as a parent. That faith your child has to trust and believe you - their mother, their father, the people in their lives they should be able to trust.

Child like faith to take Jesus at His word is developed as a child learns to trust his physical/earthly father.

Family. Child. Father. Trust. Kingdom.

To receive the Kingdom of God takes child like trust/faith/belief. One is to believe the Heavenly Father as a child trusts/believes their physical father. But what if a child does not experience such a father/child relationship? How can He understand such trust or be able to receive the kingdom through faith?

It seems the family unit was designed to foster such faith, trust, love in children for their physical fathers that they may learn to transfer that trust to their spiritual father in Heaven as they become aware of Him. Relationship with God. Family. Analogy intended and intentional?.

If, like me, a child does not  experience the presence nor the love of a physical father in their home or daily lives then their perception of faith, trust, love becomes scewed, or distorted. All manner of barriers are put in place to protect the heart and hinder that child from recognizing and being able to trust anyone, let alone God as their Spiritual Father. A hardness of heart sets in as wrong conclusions are formed in the immaturity of youth. “No one loves me.” “I am not worth loving.” “No one can be trusted.” There is no God.” “I am on my own.” Negative thoughts with negative labels. Unworthy, Alone, Afraid, Unlovable...

The breakdown of the family unit which God designed becomes a stumbling block to the little children who then grow into adults with calloused, untrusting hearts deciding not to believe.

But praise God. With Him ALL things are possible.

Those barriers erected; that hardness of heart that has been cultivated through the erosion of that child like trust can be breached by God’s love.

God did and does so love the world that HE GAVE His son (John 3:16), Jesus, who came to seek and to save (Luke 19:10) all who are lost behind their barriers and hardened hearts. That child like faith becomes accessible to any and all – young, old or in between.

“…and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved…WHOEVER calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:9b, 13

His Kingdom, His realm – IS NOT of this earth.

John 18:36 “My kingdom is not of this world,” said Jesus. “If My kingdom were of this world, My servants[a] would fight, so that I wouldn’t be handed over to the Jews. As it is, My kingdom does not have its origin here.”

His Kingdom is not received or entered into apart from faith. Faith in Christ – The one sent by God.

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. NO ONE comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

“…whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.”

FAMILY.  SACRED. CRUCIAL. DESIGNED.
CHILDHOOD. FACED. LIES REVEALED.
ADULTHOOD. TRUST LEARNED. TRUTHS EMBRACED.
Do you dare to chisel away at the hardened crust? to pull down barriers to reveal what false perceptions from childhood may be holding you back from living life fully now?

Below is a link to a great message on 'unpacking' the early formative years of your life in order to face and replace any lies that had been formed in immaturity with truths understood in adult maturity. Hope you'll take time to listen.

Peace and Joy
